DIME needle are chrome-plated. Chrome-plated needles are long lasting
and the most commonly used needle type, delivering good performance on all general types of blank goods.

This point type is designed to make a clean penetration in woven materials.
This needle works well with light to medium weight woven fabrics, helping to reduce
or eliminate puckering on this fabric type. 
One of the most popular blade sizes, it works well with standard size 40 embroidery thread. 

Not for knits- rather for lightweight woven fabrics including quilting cottons and densely woven synthetic fabrics
such as nylon and polyester.
The point is more slender than a ballpoint, giving a clean penetration that helps to reduce puckering
on quilting cotton, windbreakers, pillows, and hankies.
Make the smallest footprint possible on waterproof materials and fragile materials other than knits.
