Brightly
Students will make the 2 foundation blocks for the Brightly quilt pattern by Cluck Cluck Sew.
Quilt can be made from 10" squares (Layer Cake) or fat quarters or yardage and a background fabric.
The photo is a quilt made by Jenny Doan at Missouri Star Quilt Company. The 10" square collection that she used will be offered at Sarah Mae, as well as a similar collection in royal colors (purples, teals, blues, pinks). You can also create your own collection. (I am using some harvest / fall prints for my quilt, for instance.)
Students will be required to pre-cut their background before arriving at class.
Supplies needed:
1. Layer cake, fat quarters, or yardage for blocks.
2. Background fabric precut per email prior to class.
3. Machine with 1/4" foot
4. 6.5" x 24.5" preferred, rotary cutter, 12x18 or 18x24 mat
5. 50 wt piecing thread
6. Basic sewing supplies: scissors, seam ripper, straight pins
7. Fine point marking pencil. Preferably Sewline mechanical pencil OR fine lead mechanical pencil (as long as you don't bear down too hard on light fabrics).
8. Pattern
9. Portable iron / pressing mat (optional, but helpful)
10. Best Press
Pattern is included in the class fee.
